Baby Bird

The kids are always finding little animals and bugs and bring them home to show us. Most of the time it's a quick show and tell and then we tell them to find a place out side to put it back. This time, Shai found a baby bird that is just learning how to fly. It was a spunky little thing. Shai was so filled with joy as she came home with this little bird. The bird especially loved being held by Josh. She wouldn't try and jump from his finger and nuzzled close to him and even fell asleep! The kids had fun making a "nest" for the bird.

We were actually heading out the door just before Shai found the bird. So we let her go and have not seen her since. We just hope that she did learn to fly....

Keneret & The Beach

On Monday we drove up to the Keneret {Sea Of Galilee} as a family.

We soon realized that many of the swimming beaches were still underwater from the winter rains. The beaches that were open, you had to pay and were already full with people.

We drove around the entire lake in search of a swimming place for the kids. We had stopped a few times to use the bathroom/eat/fill the van up.

Yet, since we did not find a place to rest at the lake, we began to drive home, and stopped off at a wonderful beach in Natanya. The water was very shallow where we were and the kids had so much fun! Unfortunately we got stuck in rush hour in Tel Aviv on our way home, but thankful we made it safely. We got home around 930pm, then fed the kids dinner, bathed them and they finally got to sleep past 10pm.... we really hoped they would sleep in the next morning, yet at 6am they were up and ready to go!
